Save the Siskiyou Crest Campaign!

The Campaign to Save the Siskiyou Crest is a grassroots effort led by residents, businesses and organizations who love the region and advocate for its protection.

We are working to match the world-class scenic, recreational, and biological values of the region with world-class habitat protections. Our work is educational, political, scientific, heartfelt, community driven, and volunteer led. We are building appreciation for the region’s unique natural qualities and building momentum towards the region’s permanent protection.

Components of the campaign include: Political advocacy, public engagement, academic research, environmental education, community organizing, fundraising, collaboration, place-based art projects, and regional exploration.

The campaign is organized and facilitated by a steering committee made up of local residents, naturalists, activists, artists, backcountry enthusiasts, and community organizers. We are also organizing sub-committees and a science advisory committee. A wide range of skill sets are needed and volunteers are always welcome. Please join us!
